Extremist fathers' rights campaigners discussed snatching Tony Blair's youngest son for a publicity stunt.I support fathers' rights, but this is the sort of thing that gives the movement a bad name. Thankfully, the police busted this up before it got started.
Police foiled the plan at an early stage and it was unclear whether the people involved had the capability to carry it through or how far the scheme had progressed.
The threat was uncovered before Christmas while officers were investigating people who had been associated with the fringes of the Fathers 4 Justice (F4J) group.
Five-year-old Leo was not kidnapped and there have been no arrests.
F4J denied any involvement and one of its founding members Matt O'Connor condemned the idea of kidnapping Leo "unreservedly".
