McEwen is Conflicted Too

From the Business First (Louisville) via the WMD Mailbag:
Former U.S. Congressman Bob McEwen has joined the Washington, D.C., and Cincinnati offices of Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC law firm.

He is part of the Louisville-based firm's regulatory and administrative practice and will focus on governmental affairs, according to a news release.

McEwen represented Ohio in the U.S. House of Representatives for six terms, beginning in 1980.

Prior to that, he was a member of the Ohio General Assembly for three terms.

Greenebaum Doll & McDonald has offices in Louisville, Cincinnati, Washington, D.C., Nashville, Atlanta and Lexington, Frankfort and Covington, Ky.
These aren't the moves of a guy who is supposed to announce that he is running in a primary against Jean Schmidt. Is he hedging his bets or just trying to make us bloggers go crazy figuring him out?

Mark's Remarks

This is called CYA. You see, Bob still has to make a living, even when he loses the race against Schmidt. So, therefore, he joined this to cover his butt. I think he sees the conservative movement, for the most part, rallying around Jean after her Murtha moment, and that lessens his odds of making a go. Therefore, unless Jean inserts her runner's foot in her mouth again, he may not get serious about the race.
