"Ken's got my vote!"
Those were the words of Congressman Steve Chabot today when he offered his support to Secretary of State and Gubernatorial candidate Ken Blackwell. Despite Blackwell's overwhelming lead amongst Republican primary voters, Blackwell may still face a primary challenger, and proudly welcomed his long-time colleague and friend to his growing list of supporters.
"Ken Blackwell will be the Republican nominee for Governor, and will lead our party -- and our state -- to victory in November," said Chabot, a six-term Republican Congressman from Ohio's 1st District who understands first-hand the challenges Ohio must confront in order to regain its competitive edge. "Ken has been a consistent, strong and courageous voice for Ohioans. We need his leadership now more than ever and I am excited to offer him my support."
Another high-profile Republican coming out strong for Blackwell in the governor's race...this can't be going over well in the Petro camp.
