You know, the Left wants every memo released, no matter how insignificant. They want everything Bush says investigated, castigated, mutilated, but when it comes to releasing an investigation that could shine light on a REAL corrupt administration, the Bubba Clinton Regime, the advocates for open government go silent on the Left. From Human Events:Iowa Senator Charles Grassley is still pursuing full release of the 400-page report produced by Independent Counsel David to investigate Housing and Urban Development Secretary Henry Cisneros’ fraudulent tax schemes to pay off his former mistress, Linda Medlar. Democrats, led by Sens. Byron Dorgan (N.C.), Dick Durbin (Ill.) and John Kerry (Mass.), were successful in redacting 120 pages of the report that listed transgressions potentially implicating Bill and Hillary Clinton.
What is the big deal? I mean, Bill and Hill could not possibly have done anything wrong. Right? When Democrats give full disclosure of this report, then I will gladly stand with them for more disclosure from the current White House. However, compared to the Clinton White House, this administration has been a lot more forthcoming. They did not contrive "losing" documents that showed up months later in the White House, as Hillary did. This administration did not spirit documents out of offices and give them to personal lawyers, invoking client privilege, as the Clintons did. This administration did not use tax records to smear detractors, as the Clintons did with Linda Tripp and others.
So, based on this: which party is truly the one of corruption and secret operations to smear opponents, which party is the party of coverup? One person might know, but she is unavailable for comment: Mary Jo Kopechne.
