It looks like our Dutch friends want to ban burqas now. They will be the first European country to do so if this goes through.The Dutch are reacting to the cartoon violence and the murder of Theo van Gogh. I don't really have a problem with that.
What this does is elevate the conflict to all Muslims. And I do have a problem with that. The Islamofascists will point to this and say that the West discriminates against Islam. And in this case, they would be right.
