Why Don't Dem Messages Resonate?

Answer: it is just more of the same based on inaccuracies. I just finished listening to Congressman Menendez of NJ (D) on Fox News Live with Bill Hemmer (a local Cincinnati guy, by the way). The topic was--sending a clear message that resonates with viewers. Here is the clear message, the better way, as the Dems call it:

1. Cut and run. This is based on the false assumption that Menendez and Murtha and Co. have put forth that "US soldiers are a lightning rod" for the violence in Iraq. Totally false. If you look at the past 3 weeks, it has not been US soldiers that have been attacked. It has been other Muslims of a different denomination.

1a. We need to internationalize the training of Iraqi soldiers. Yes, let's get the UN involved so their "peacekeepers" can train them to rape women like the UN does on a regular basis in Africa and Kosovo. Then things will be just like they were under Saddam and maybe we can start oil for food again.

2. Our kids are falling behind. They need more money for education. Uh, NO! As a teacher, there is a temptation to blame everything on a lack of funding. However, that is not the case. The problem is the mismanagement of the funds we get. While we are spending more per capita per student than any other nation, what are we getting out of it? Nada. The reason for that higher spending--bloated administator salaries, unnecessary positions like pregnancy specialist that can be accomplished outside of school, new gyms getting renovated faster than the libraries. See, all this is going on, and we are throwing more money into a system that doesn't work. What we need is more choice, more competition, and less federal control. Do you realize that we were among the leaders in primary and secondary education up until the 1960s? What happened? Well, you had the touchy feely revolution, where feelings mattered more than learning. Where there could be no winners and losers, we had to make everyone realize there are no consequences. Democrats offer more money, less results.

3. Healthcare for EVERYBODY! You know, we have seen this before. HillaryCare is not the answer. What is needed is for more Americans to perhaps live without cable, that second car, and maybe then they can afford health insurance. You see, democrats want to blame big corporations, but unions have a role, as do government agencies that bog down corporations in lawsuits and labor issues. As do trial lawyers who seek to bankrupt company health funds. What would be different under democrats? More lawsuits and no caps.

The reason this message does not resonate is that even with all the Sheehaning of America attempted, people are waking up that the Left is even more clueless than the Right can be. They offer no solutions, only ways to make each other feel better.
