Now is the Time...This is the Hour....

There are so few times when we as regular Americans have a chance to impact and change our society for the better...or for the worse. This May 2nd is one of those times. We who call ourselves conservatives in Ohio have been disappointed time and again by both of Ohio's Senators, George Voinovich, and Michael DeWine. Despite their manipulation of voting numbers, they have opposed the President and the Conservative agenda time and again. They have undermined the President's appointments, they have succumbed to Democrat pressure, and have extended the liberal reach.

This May 2nd, we have a chance for real change. For far too many years in Ohio, the Republican Party in Ohio has given a free pass to Mike DeWine because of his deep pockets and his affiliations with lobbies. They have given a pass to him and his non-conservative views. They have allowed him to betray, time and again, the beliefs in limited government, less government spending. They have not held up our values.

Luckily, ladies and gentlemen, we have a primary system, in which both parties choose via the voters who is going to run in the general election come November. Despite the best attempts of political bosses for both parties, the primary system is still used in Ohio. Now, we have the chance to make a change, and to send a message that we are going to hold our elected officials accountable, whether they are incumbents or not. Pennsylvania missed their chance with Arlen Spector. We should not do the same with Mike DeWine.

Bill Pierce is a 30 plus year resident of the state of Ohio. He is a teacher on leave of absence, fighting the good fight of trying to restore citizen legislator to its rightful place--the US Congress. We need to start to usher in an era where citizens, not salesmen, are the members of Congress. We need to recreate the era where people came to Washington to serve, not be served. Bill Pierce has that agenda. He shares his political philosophy with most of our founding fathers.

Bill Pierce wants immigration reform. Mike DeWine has chosen to play the fence, to cast his finger to the wind to see which way it is blowing that day. Bill Pierce is for government restraint. Mike DeWine is one of the biggest feeders of the pork barrel trough. What this really means is he is trying to buy our votes with pork, meanwhile, our deficits rise and Mike and the lobbyists make more money from us. Bill Pierce wants to reform the earmark system. Mike DeWine wants to continue to grow fat from the work of the American people.

Mike DeWine hails his decision of joining the Gang of 14 as a political masterstroke. After all, it got us Alitio and Roberts, right? However, the Senator does not mention the dozens of appointments still being held up for nothing other than politics. He fails to mention how the wheels of justice are grinding to a halt under pressure from the caseload. He fails to mention how he has turned a blind eye to repeated requests from the Chief Justice of the United States to authorize more seats on the bench to handle the increased caseload. He fails to mention these because they are his failures.

Bill Pierce believes in an up or down vote on appointments. He does not believe that we should kowtow to a group that flaunts the Constitution and subverts it for political gain. He believes that justice needs to be served justly and quickly. He believes that justice delayed is justice denied. He believes in doing what is right for America.

Mike DeWine has let us down time and again. He has been silent on abortion, while Bill Pierce stands in the breach, ready to defend the right to life. Mike DeWine has been ambivalent, and at times hostile to the 2nd Amendment, Bill Pierce has traversed to several gun shows to show solidarity with gunowners and those who believe the right to bear arms.

Mike DeWine likes to stay in the shadows, taking comfort in co-sponsoring Bills with Kennedy, Schumer, and Clinton. Bill Pierce wants to counter their loud rhetoric with outspokenness of his own, fighting for bedrock heartland values, and challenging the hate and vitriol of the American Left. Mike DeWine wants to get along and be compensated. Bill Pierce wants to serve you.

Mike DeWine has not made any grand campaign stops. He has not gone door to door to ask for your vote. In fact, he takes your vote for granted. He is trusting you, the voters in Ohio, to be apathetic and think that you won't count. He is trusting that we will just hold our noses and allow him to win because he is the incumbent. What has he done for us, really? What has he done to advance the cause of limited budgets? Of limiting the reach of the government? Of increasing government oversight of the bureaucracy? What has he done to show us he cares about our votes? He stumped for his son last year. Whoop de doo. Now, he is taking his seat and your vote for granted.

This is the time and the hour. Vote for a man who has lived and breathed in Ohio for over 30 years. Vote for a man who brings small business and education experience to the job. Vote for a man who wants to serve to change things, rather than fulfill some whims of power found while reading a book. Vote for a man who vows to visit his constituents, to walk among the people, and not be sucked in by the Washington elite. Vote for a man who has fought the good fight against government largesse and bureaucracy. Vote for William G. Pierce. Vote for a renewal of the principles that forged our country from a small insurgent republic to the greatest lamp of liberty God ever let shine on our planet! Vote Bill Pierce come May 2nd. Don't be fooled by those who say he won't be able to beat Brown, that he doesn't have the resources or the recognition or the press. If Pierce beats DeWine, the press willl come and take notice. When Pierce beats DeWine, true conservatives will line up to volunteer and help out. When Pierce beats DeWine, the state party will be shaken enough to realize it needs to stand for something other than winning. When Bill Pierce beats Mike DeWine, it will signal the beginning of the renaissance of the Republican party, began by Reagan, and left to us to nurture! Vote for a man who saw Ronald Reagan's genius before most of Ohio did, who served on his campaign before it was cool! Vote for a true Conservative! Vote for William G. Pierce, for the United States Senate!
