An aide to Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist has just told reporters that Frist met with Judiciary Committee chairman Arlen Specter last night, and the two men decided to re-start the effort to confirm circuit court judicial nominees who have been blocked by Democrats. The two chose the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, the White House official who was nominated in July 2003, to begin the work. The Frist aide said Republicans will make "every effort" to bring Kavanaugh's nomination to the Senate floor before the Memorial Day recess.DeWine and his Gang of 14 prevented Kavanaugh from getting his up or down vote a long time ago.
