US/Israel Update

AP News Alert:
WASHINGTON (AP) Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice will lay out U.S. plans for a diplomatic solution to the Israeli-Hezbollah fighting Friday, an administration official says.
Anything short of allowing Israel to do what they need to do is a setback in the war on terror. Hezbollah is a terrorist organization and needs to be eliminated. Any negotiated peace with Hezbollah will be considered by the terrorists as an operational pause in which they can re-build, re-arm, and re-terrorize. That is not acceptable. And if America is to be taken seriously in the war on terror, we have to realize that some of our allies have to do some fighting on their own without intervention. The Middle East crisis will not be resolved with a peace conference at Camp David. It will be resolved when, and only when, those doing the negotiating do so in good faith and are not supporting terrorism.

12:30PM UPDATE: AP NEws Alert:
WASHINGTON (AP) The White House says President Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will meet with Saudi Arabian officials on Sunday to discuss the Middle East situation.
And who is talking to Iran??? Not that they would listen to reason...all they understand is the application of raw power. One thing I will never understand about this region is that they are such a prideful people but they insist on being humiliated...
