Dollar Dogs and Half-Price Tickets

The Cincinnati Reds are in the hunt for a post-season for the first time in a long time. Attendance is up, but ownership wants to encourage more folks to come to the ball park. Does the new ownership group do what the last few have done and bash the fans in every media outlet? No, the Castellini's made the right move for a very important series with the division-leading St. Louis Carnidals: they cut ticket prices in half and are selling hot dogs for a buck a piece. How successful is this gimmick? I don't know, but I'm willing to go out in to the heat tonight and take in a game (although tonight's game is not half-price due to a previously scheduled bobblehead promition). Very smart move!
