Another 527 Media Outfit Attempts Voter Suppression

The Associated Press gets in to the act. This piece comes to our attention via Forbes (of all places - I mean, really, whose side are they on?)
The Republican National Committee said Thursday it won't run any television ads in Ohio on behalf of Sen. Mike DeWine during the final week of the campaign.

RNC spokesman Aaron McLear said the national party organization had reserved time to run statewide TV ads next week as DeWine tries to come back against Democratic Rep. Sherrod Brown, who leads in recent polls. But in the end, the RNC decided not to make the purchase, McLear said.

National Democrats said it showed the Republicans were giving up on the two-term senator.
The RNC didn't need to run those ads. Mike DeWine has a significant cash advantage over Sherrod Brown. Those resources are better deployed in states like Missouri and Montana where things are a bit tighter than they are here.

I mentioned yesterday that it has been something of a pattern that in Ohio turnout efforts beat the polls. I know that. Tom Blumer of BizzyBlog knows that. You know that because you read WMD. Mike DeWine knows that. The idiots at the associated Press appear not to know that.

I mentioned voter suppression efforts...here they come:
"Even the RNC is basically saying now that Mike DeWine has a slim chance of winning this campaign," said Phil Singer, spokesman for the Democrats' national Senate campaign organization.

The Democrats need to win six Republican seats and hold all of theirs to take control of the Senate.
Ahh, our old friend Phil Singer. I remember beating him up during the last election cycle... Singer couldn't analyze himself out of a wet paper bag...he spins so hard he's dizzy!

All of this nonsense is an effort to convince Republicans to just stay home. They want you to believe that your vote doesn't matter. They want polls to trump turnout efforts.

Guess what? They are all in for a shock come Election Day...
