Iraq Update

A number of things worth talking about happening in Iraq...

AP News Alert:
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) The U.S. military says a senior al-Qaida leader has been captured in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.
This guy was responsible for many deaths of civilians and military alike. His capture is a very good sign.

AP News Alert:
NAJAF, Iraq (AP) U.S.-led coalition hands over security responsibilities in Najaf province to Iraqi forces.
Najaf was the scene of some pretty intense fighting between U.S. forces and Mookie's boys a few years ago... Another good sign that the political and military elements are progressing.

AP News Alert:
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) New Defense Secretary Robert Gates arrives for unannounced visit to Iraqi capital as part of Bush administration's effort to revamp war policy.
