Boehner on President Bush's Statement on Troop Funding

Via email:
U.S. House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement supporting comments made by President Bush on the need to fund America 's troops who are in harm's way:
"President Bush is right when he says we must support our troops and give them all the resources and flexibility they need to achieve success in their mission in Iraq . House Democrats say their non-binding resolution is just the 'first step' in their efforts to cut off funding for American troops who are in harm's way, and point to upcoming budget debates as their chance to hamstring our military and force them to withdraw from the Global War on Terror. House Republicans remain committed to victory in Iraq , and to providing our troops in harm's way with the resources and funding necessary to get the job done."
NOTE: At his press conference today, President Bush said the following: "Now, I'm going to make it very clear to Members of Congress starting now that they need to fund our troops and they need to make sure we have the flexibility necessary to get the job done."
