House Democrats Are Playing Games Again With Iraq Resolutions

Via email:
THEN: Dems will allow an alternative

Rep. Rahm Emanuel: Republicans "are going to offer their alternative and we'll have a vote on that." Roll Call, February 8, 2007

Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD): "The Republicans will be given either a substitute or a motion to recommit so that they can propose whatever substantive alternative that they choose. That will also be debated." Press Conference, February 8, 2007

NOW: Dems won't allow an alternative

House Iraq debate limited to troop increase: Hoyer, Reuters, February 11, 2007

BOEHNER:

Republican Leader John Boehner: "If you are not going to cut off troops -- cut off the funding for the troops in harm's way, why not allow Republicans to bring a resolution to the floor and let the House vote up or down on the resolution?"

NBC's Meet the Press, February 11, 2007
Sure doesn't sound like the House Democrats are aware that the American people can check out what they have said before and compare it to the current rhetoric... One can almost make the argument that the House Democrats have lied to the American people once again...
