Hoyer v. Murtha: Which "Leader" Represents the Democrat Agenda?

Via email:
Yesterday, in the middle of House debate on Democrats' non-binding resolution that supports denying our troops the resources needed to succeed in Iraq , House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) took to the House floor to say:

HOYER
"No one in this Congress, and our troops ought to know, that no one in this Congress will not support them when they are deployed at the point of the spear."
Contradicting claims by the Dems' Leader, Rep. John P. Murtha (D-PA) today unveiled a proposal to pull the rug out from under American troops in the combat zone by cutting off their reinforcements and forcing them to face the enemy without our full support:

MURTHA
"My resolution, the [supplemental] resolution I'm recommending to the Committee is a different situation. They know they can't sustain the surge if this resolution passes the House and the Senate. And the president can veto it, but then he wouldn't have any money."
Murtha's dangerous proposal would "choke off" the funding and resources our troops need to succeed in the Global War on Terror. How does this square with Hoyer's claim that "no one will not support" our troops?
Once again, the American people are not getting leadership from the Democrats... I didn't expect anything resembling real leadership anyway...Democrats are only about power.
