Well, er, just in the short term, he says. However, this reveals what most of us already know about the Left--they are anti-semetic, hate Israel rabblerousers who would sooner apologize for suicide bombers than defend Israel's right to exist. From Variety and Peter Bart:
There are other emerging fissures, as well. The aggressively photogenic John Edwards was cruising along, detailing his litany of liberal causes last week until, during question time, he invoked the "I" word -- Israel. Perhaps the greatest short-term threat to world peace, Edwards remarked, was the possibility that Israel would bomb Iran's nuclear facilities. As a chill descended on the gathering, the Edwards event was brought to a polite close.
Funny, John....wouldn't one think that crazy islamofascists like Ahmidenejad or his ilk with nukes would be a bigger threat? Wouldn't one think Kim Jong Il with more nukes would be a bigger threat? Most rational people would think Israel, through bombing, would be defending itself from possible attack. Of course, John, most of us on the right have known you are little more than an irrational ambulance chaser for years.
