Hat Tip to Rush Limbaugh.Walter Jones, R(ino), of North Carolina, was one of the cowardly Republicans in the House who went along with the Surrender to Islamofascism and Embolden the Enemy Resolution. Well, even while he gives some serious lip service to Murtha's posterior, he tells Murtha he is against defunding the troops. Why?
Well, as Rush postulates in his piece, I think it is because when he got back to the office after his vote, he thought he would find a stack of invites to all the cool liberal parties and talk shows. Instead, he found a humongous pile of negative email from his constituents. The American people in his district let him know what they think of tihs clown, the same guy who supported renaming French fries freedom fries (how brave!) and who now supports aiding and abetting the enemy until he gets called on it. Here are excerpts from his letter to Traitor Jack Murtha:
However, I believe that we must take great care to ensure that any effort to provide for our armed forces not be used as a proxy for resolving larger issues concerning the war in Iraq. Any attempt to starve the war as a way of bringing it to a conclusion rather than through a serious policy debate about the best way forward would be wrong.
So, Congressman Jones, why did you vote for a resolution meant to be a green light to do that which you are now saying is wrong, a resolution described by Pelosi, Murtha, and the far Left as the first step? Are you that stupid, or are you that pathetic in thinking no one would notice?
I think this also shows that the American people do not want this war defunded. If they did, you would not have this Congressman attempting to play it both ways now that his constituency has found out he was one of the Surrender 17. Unlike what we are being told by the Dinosaur Media and the stilted polls they take, America does not want to lose this war; we do not want to give up. Rather, we want to win and are tired of playing nice. We want to get the job done. If a majority of Americans, which would have to include some conservatives, felt that we should defund the war then this Clown Jones would not be writing his letter.
