Boehner Hails Bipartisan Passage of Bill to Deliver Quality Health Care to America ’s Soldiers

Via email:
Congressman John Boehner (R-West Chester) issued the following statement today after the House passed the Wounded Warrior Assistance Act (H.R. 1538):
“Our men and women in uniform make huge sacrifices for our freedom, and we need to ensure they have access to the highest quality health care. The problems uncovered at Walter Reed are unacceptable, and we have a responsibility to fix such problems wherever they exist and ensure our soldiers are receiving health care that meets the highest standards of quality.

“This legislation is an important first step in improving oversight within the military health care system. It makes comprehensive improvements to medical care, quality of life, and administrative procedures to ensure our soldiers receive the care they need. I commend my colleagues on both sides of the aisle for coming together to make sure that America ’s soldiers are provided the quality health care they deserve.”
