The Buckeye Institute for Public Policy Solutions today announced Carlo LoParo will serve as vice president for communications. LoParo will coordinate the Institute’s media activities, manage its Web initiatives and provide its scholars with editorial support.
“Effectively communicating our research-based solutions to Ohio’s public policy challenges is vitally important to impacting positive change in our state,” Buckeye Institute President David Hansen said. “Carlo LoParo’s media relations experience and strategic planning ability will prove essential as we build the Buckeye Institute into Ohio’s agenda-setting conservative public policy voice.”
A 12-year communications veteran, LoParo has served as media relations director for the Ohio Secretary of State and Ohio Treasury. During the 2006 gubernatorial campaign, he served as press secretary to Ohioans for Ken Blackwell. He is a graduate of Cleveland State University.
The Buckeye Institute for Public Policy Solutions is a nonpartisan research and educational institute devoted to individual liberty, economic freedom, personal responsibility and limited government in Ohio. The institute neither seeks nor accepts government funding. It enjoys the support of foundations, individuals and businesses sharing a concern for Ohio’s future.
