"Will America turn its back on my sons?"

This letter to the editor in the Charlotte Observer is a must read...a taste:
Memo to Congress

Here's my memo to Congress.

Dear senators and representatives:

If this nonsense continues, I want my son on the first chopper out of there. My boys will lay down their lives for all of you. You have no right to turn on them. AND YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO RISK THEIR LIVES FOR NOTHING.

If you think I'm mad, you don't even want to think about the hurt and anger of the majority of those thousands of servicemen and women who have sacrificed their physical and mental health or of the families who have lost loved ones for a cause that we are now told is not important.
Read the whole thing.

Mark's Remarks

America turned its back on your sons November 7, 2006. In spite of what the American people were told would happen, they still went with change for the sake of change. They were told over and over by myself and Matt and thousands of others that they did not know what they were doing. However, they believed the MSM, Pelosi, and those spineless "moderates" who were elected to Congress.

Sadly, when we have a whole new generation of vets who feel totally forgotten and shunned, we will ask why? We will say what happened? My response will be:

November 7, 2006

It really is sad, because I think by and large, America treasures the troops. However, because of some inept communication by the Administration and twisting by the MSM, the voters were fooled into voting for something that does not exist: a democrat majority that does what is right, not what gets them the must pub.
