A Crazy Idea About the Iraq Supplemental

The Democrat leadership has rejected the President's invitation to come to the White House to talk about the Iraq supplemental. Now they have invited the President to come to the Capital to have a chat...

QUESTION: Should the President accept this invitation?

I think he should. And he should make a VERY BIG deal out of it... Hell, I'd have the President WALK over to the Capital ala that episode of the West Wing.

If the Democrats are so petty that they will refuse to come to the White House to talk about this critical issue, should the President force the issue by going to visit them?

What do you think?

UPDATE: The two emails in thus far (guys let me know if you want "credit" for these views) agree with me...
Agreed. I think they are expecting him to say no so I think he should accept the invitation and make a big deal about it, saying how the Dems wouldn't meet with him but that this is too important to be made into a political issue that he will go and meet with them. He should take the higher road on this one.
And another:
If I was Bush, I'd march right over to Capitol Hill and call them out.
I'd make it a major media event...

UPDATE 2: Here is another short email:
Heck yeh he should do it and great idea to walk over.
I have a fourth email that I've asked a clarification on and will post that if I hear back...

UPDATE 3: Email #5 is the traditional view:
No he shouldnt. Congress comes to the WH. That is how it has always been. He looks weak (which he is) by going there.
And a bit from email #6, which agrees with #5 that the POTUS should not go to Congress:
In any case this is all so much political theater. After Bush vetoes the current bill, Congress will appropriate the necessary funds.
Email is going 3 to 2 so far with 1 additional email saying essentially that whatever POTUS has to do to end this war is what he should do. More on that one as it becomes clearer...
