Media Blames Bush; Dog Bites Man

AP News Alert:

WASHINGTON (AP) President Bush says he wants to work with Democrats to get money to U.S. troops fighting in Iraq, even though he will go ahead with his threatened veto of funding legislation that also sets a withdrawal timetable.

In other words, the grass is green; the sky is blue; water is wet...etc. This is not news. At least, it should be news to anybody who has been paying attention. That, however, is not the average AP reader. The President has called for a clean bill without a surrender date from the beginning. This blurb makes it sound as if the President doesn't want the funding; clearly, he does...but he wants to win the war too.
