Pope Benny To Erect Altar to Gore in Vatican?

Well, it sure sounds like Pope Benny and the cover-upers at the Vatican are going to erect a graven image to Al Gore, Sheryl"Toilet Hand"Crow and other enviro-weenies given the lovely conference on "climate change" held at the vatican.

Now, before I get labelled as a Catholic Bashing bigot or some such nonsense, let's look at what the folks at this little conference had to say....
"The message that God wants believers to be green is emerging from a Vatican conference on climate change in the latest sign of growing concern by religious groups around the world over the fate of the planet." "Scientists, environment ministers and leaders of various religions from 20 countries sat down for two days to discuss the implications of global warming and development. The conference, organized by the Vatican's Council for Justice and Peace, marked the most significant plunge to date by the Roman Catholic Church -- the world's largest Christian grouping -- into one of the hottest contemporary topics. Elias Abramides, a Greek Orthodox member of the World Council of Churches (WCC), told the gathering climate change was a 'deeply spiritual issue' rooted in the scriptures."

Anytime I see the WCC involved, my hackles raise. This is one of the most socialist and communist groups who claim to be Christian in the world. They are a left of center group of muddleists who want to approve abortion on demand, who believe that it was the US who was the evil empire in the face of Soviet communism, and who advocate for the UN to have a world tax.

If Pope Benny is getting behind this nonsense, combined with his other idiotic statements on Iraq, as well as the Catholic Church's continued hemming and hawing on the abuse scandal, then they deserve all the scorn Matt gives them.

And another thing...if God wanted us to go Green, don't you think he would send a better, more Christian messenger than Al Gore?

I mean, if Christians are thinking global warming and mixing it with the Book of Revelation, then what is the point? If it is God's will to end the world, then so be it, if you subscribe to that, and wouldn't you be committing a sin by trying to circumvent the will of God? Now, just so you know, I don't believe that, but I think the argument can be made.

And this is showing more and more how global warming is trying to intrude on religion and in fact becoming a religion. Very scary stuff, especially for those of you Christians out there who have actally analyzed Revelations with its warnings about the seduction of the church, etc.

Just some food for thought....
