Rush: "If you're going to blame guns, why not blame student visas?"

I was just reading the recap of the Rush Limbaugh Show in my email and came across this:
"If you're going to blame guns, why not blame student visas?"
An excellent question. If there were no student visas, this kid would not have been here and instead of killing 30-some Americans, we might be hearing about some tragedy in South Korea right about now.

People often want to know "why" these things happen. Reality is that these things don't happen all that often and when they do, there is seldom a logical conclusion as to "why"... The truth is that neither guns nor student visas are to blame...which is exactly what Rush's point is, I'm sure. Evil exists in the world and sometimes people snap and do evil things. The best we can hope for is the opportunity to defend ourselves in these situations and accept personal responsibility for our actions or omissions.

Gun control is not the answer. There are already plenty of laws that this kid violated... If someone wants to kill, they will; no law is going to prevent that. There is no amount of government regulation that could have prevented this tragedy.
