Democrats on Surrender

Check these out:
REUTERS: “Democrats on Tuesday abandoned troop withdrawal efforts“

AP: “Democratic leaders face having to explain to their party's rank and file why they've now relented.”

AP: “Flinching in the face of a veto threat …”

Washington Post: “Democrats reluctantly gave up their demand for troops withdrawal” … “…conceding to President Bush on their number one goal” … “…Democrats were forced to blink.”

NY Times: “Congressional Democrats relented today […] …a wrenching reversal for some Democrats…”

LA Times: “Democrats … handed President Bush a rare victory…”
I'd like to remind everybody what Rahm Emanuel (D-Venus) said recently:
"We've reduced [Republicans] to whining about procedure and that is all they do," said a Pelosi spokesman. "That shows a successful message, when you reduce them to talking about process. They do not come to us with substantial attacks."
Yep. I'm still laughing at that particular piece of spin...

I'm not laughing at the fact that it took over 100 days for the Democrats to realize that further delay will only cause more difficulties for our troops in a time of war.
