Butler County GOP Update

From the Hamilton Journal-News:
West Chester Twp. trustee George Lang pulled a petition at the Butler County Board of Elections to run for a second term in November. If re-elected, the township resident and businessman said his second term as trustee will be his last.

"When I ran four years ago, one of the things my opposition said was, 'Don't vote for George, he'll only be there for one or two terms,'" said Lang. "I said, 'He's right.' You do your public service and go back to the private sector."

Lang owns The Lang Agency and Performance Benefit Solutions, is a part-owner of Jag's Restaurant and is a silent partner in several other area businesses. He said that perspective has influenced his feelings about how local government should work.

"All things being equal, we do business with people who live, work, play in and love West Chester," he said. "I hope to see more and more of that in the future."

Scott Owens, executive director of the Butler County GOP, has agreed to serve as Lang's campaign manager.
Perhaps VikingSpirit will have something to say about this... As I live in Fairfield, not West Chester, I really haven't had much exposure to this guy, but he sounds like the type of Republican that we should be recruiting more of... Self-imposed term limits...citizen legislator... Me likey...
