Rawnica Dillingham, a candidate for county commissioner in 2008, reported to sheriff's deputies today that she was run off the road this morning. The good old boy network issuing threats? In Butler County? I would have thought all of these guys would be too busy working second and third jobs trying to pay off the Todd Mahal... If Chuck Furmon is half the man he thinks he is, he would denounce these threats and call of the dogs. And so would the Butler County GOP...
Dillingham said soon after she left her home and was driving southbound on Morman Road at 9:25 a.m., a northbound black SUV crossed the street's double line, seemingly intending for a head-on collision with her 2005 Cadillac SRX. She was forced off the road into a telephone pole, she said. The driver, which she described as an older white male with graying hair, did not stop.
Dillingham was not injured, though her vehicle sustained damage.
Since announcing her candidacy, the mother of three boys said she has received threats on a her campaign phone line, but didn't consider them serious enough to report to police — until now. The matter is under investigation, Sgt. Monte Mayer said. Anyone with information can call the Butler County Sheriff's Office at (513) 785-1300.
