The House will resume debate on the Homeland Security Appropriations bill this morning at 11 am. After 10 hours of debate yesterday and early this morning:The House completed consideration of Page 1 of the bill last night, and will begin work on the first paragraph of Page 2 this morning. This is a 76-page bill.
The House completed consideration of 5 amendments. More than 100 have yet to be considered.
Republicans offered 8 motions to rise; Democrats relented and supported the last motion at roughly 2 am this morning.
The controversial “Border Fence” language starts on Page 11 of the bill.
