Notes on the Homeland Security Appropriations Bill

The House will resume debate on the Homeland Security Appropriations bill this morning at 11 am. After 10 hours of debate yesterday and early this morning:
The House completed consideration of Page 1 of the bill last night, and will begin work on the first paragraph of Page 2 this morning. This is a 76-page bill.

The House completed consideration of 5 amendments. More than 100 have yet to be considered.

Republicans offered 8 motions to rise; Democrats relented and supported the last motion at roughly 2 am this morning.

The controversial “Border Fence” language starts on Page 11 of the bill.
