VIDEO: Sen Ensign on Card Check Legislation

Senate Democrats have decided to set aside debate on the nation's priorities to take up big labor's number one priority -- stripping workers of their right to a secret ballot. It's the ultimate payback for footing the bill during the 2006 cycle -- and Republicans are determined to stop it!

Transcript:
You know . . . . it's just pure intimidation.

This issue of eliminating secret ballots from the Union organizing process.

Americans who are happy with their jobs and have no desire to form a union will be singled out and intimidated.

Working men and women have the right to decide for themselves whether or not they want to join a union.

They shouldn't have to raise their hand in front of a room full of Labor Bosses and fellow employees.

So why are the Democrats trying to push through a law to eliminate the secret ballot?

Because big labor unions financed the 2006 elections for the Democrats and this is how they repay them.

The Wall Street Journal called it Labor's biggest legislative push in decades.

If a labor union has a better deal to offer workers why are they afraid of a secret ballot where Americans vote can for what they believe?

What the Democrats are doing is wrong . . . . so wrong . . . . and Republicans in the Senate will do everything in our power to stop it.

Is this the way that you want the country's leaders to legislate?

We must stop the liberal Democrat agenda in its tracks and bring Republican principles back to the halls of Congress.
