Brinkman is Among the Opponents of Indoor Tanning Bill

The Dayton Daily News has an article on the proposed indoor tanning bill that would ban minors without a doctor's prescription from using the facilities. Like the smoking ban, the bill is the exact same sort of rubbish intended to strip away our freedom to live our lives as we see fit. This is nothing more than Big Government wanting to interfere in the decisions that you and your family make.

Tom Brinkman, who chairs the committee that will hear the bill, believes that parental consent ought to be enough. That standard is the current law and if the law is being enforced, that really should be plenty sufficient. We can not rely on government to make decisions for us or we really will have surrendered our freedom and we will be governed by a tyranny.

What's next? Regulating transfats seems to be the next bigthing that the nanny-state wants to police. How about alcohol? Or driving? Did you know that accidents are the fifth leading casue of death in this country? We ought to have Big Government do something about that too, eh?

How about we just live our lives and take our chances...
