Ohio’s Democrat Attorney General Marc Dann might be developing a bit of a reputation as a grumpy public servant who can’t quite figure out how to make his actions follow his rhetoric, at the same time maintaining peace with in his office, and finally rise above the very things he criticized his opponent and predecessor for. You can see for yourself, but the image that is coming into focus is that of a Democrat Attorney General with tragically thin skin, myopia, and a penchant for doling out patronage more aggressively than most. That is exactly the point I was making Monday...good to see that the Republican Party is picking up on it too. Now, if we could just get the 527 media in this state on board...
The latest installment in the soap opera that is Marc Dann’s initial tenure as A.G. In Ohio has to do with him choosing his political allies over his policy, and law enforcement allies. Don’t like being criticized by someone in the A.G.s office – copy your buddy the Attorney General and see that your critic gets reassigned – or worse.

The Portrait of A Grumpy Man: Marc Dann
Over at the Republican State Leadership Committee blog, they catch the story I ran on Monday about the BCI agent and his supervisor that got the boot after criticizing Montgomery County prosecutor Mat Heck which drew the ire of fellow Democrat Attorney General Marc Dann. Here is what the RSLC has to say on the subject:
