Worst Economy Since Celeste: Ohio Unemployment Rate Raises Again

The Cincinnati Business Courier reports that Ohio's unemployment rate has gone up again. Ohio jumped from 5.7% in May to 6.1% in June. The rate was 5.4% last year at this time.

I blame Strickland.

Strickland promised to improve Ohio's economy and there is no indication yet that he's succeeding. Ohio remains 49th in the nation in business tax climate and everybody in Columbus keeps looking at each other and scratching their heads on why we're suffering in this state.

The national unemployement rate has held steady at 4.5% Now, if liberals can say that the Bush economy sucks, I can say that the Strickland economy blows. Taxin' Ted got elected on a platform to "Turn Ohio Around" but he didn't say when he might actually get around to doing it. We're still waiting...this is the worst Ohio economy since Celeste.
