Strickland and Dann Latest Triangulation

Gov. Ted Strickland and AG Marc Dann have declared war on "games of chance" in another effort to triangulate an issue away from the GOP. Which is pretty funny when you realize that Dann took contributions from the gambling lobby...

The action is getting mixed reviews from Ohio's Republicans. Here are two views that sum up the problem for the Ohio GOP (Tribune-Chronicle):
Ohio House Speaker Jon Husted, R-Kettering, a long-time opponent of the machines, issued a statement saying he is "pleased that the governor and the attorney general have finally seen the light on this issue."

However, Ohio Republican Party Deputy Chairman Kevin DeWine took issue with the executive order. He said, "The governor continues to issue these edicts as though he’s been anointed to a monarchy rather than elected to work with a bipartisan legislature."
So let's get this straight: The Speaker is pleased that the administration from the other party has "finally come around" while the Deputy Chairman of our party is saying Stickland thinks he's king. I can only assume that the Republicans think this is a good idea... Say: How long has the Republicans held both chambers of the legislature again?

There is no unified message coming from Columbus...
