Tom Brinkman's One-Cycle News Story is Back for Another Cycle

Instead of getting out in front of a brewing controversy, Team Brinkman decided that if they just ignored this story it would go away. Guess what, sports fans? It is time for Round Two:

  • Cincinnati Enquirer: "Judge: Brinkman should face charges"

  • Original Signal: "Cincinnati Judge Wants to Charge Rep. Brinkman with Election Fraud"

  • ...and tons more hit my email box last night and early this morning...

  • I might have agreed with Team Brinkman had this been some liberal blogger making all this noise, but this is a Republican judge. This story will not go away no matter how much Team Brinkman wishes it would... They need to address it.

While we're on the subject, allow me to address the questions that this ePluribus Media piece poses:
ARE REPUBLICANS CIRCLING THEIR WAGONS TO PROTECT BRINKMAN?
Not only is the answer "no", but "Hell, no!"
why hasn't Republican House Speaker Jon Husted of Kettering done anything about it, and, more importantly, why hasn't Ohio's Joint Legislative Ethics Committee (JLEC), the state ordained group authorized to enforce ethics laws, made any attempt to investigate Brinkman?
Well, Ohio Rebel, we live in a society where the rule of law doesn't include the criminalization of politics. What do I mean by that? Well, we have this thing called "due process"...look it up. The legislature can't just censure somebody because ProgressOhio thinks they should. Hate to be the bearer of such bad news, liberals...but it's true: just because you don't like the guy doesn't mean that he has been convicted of any wrongdoing. Did they not teach civics in your government school?
