I Wonder if Clermont County Prosecutor Don White Agrees with This One...

A cop left his dog in the car in Arizona. The dog died. The cop is facing charges.
Authorities arrested a Chandler police officer Wednesday in the death of a police dog that was left in a hot patrol car for more than 12 hours.

Chandler police Sgt. Tom Lovejoy was booked into Maricopa County jail in Phoenix on a misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty after a two-week investigation into the death of 5-year-old Belgian Malinois "Bandit."

However, "Do-NUTZ" Slaby leaves her daughter in the car, walks past the window where her child is, and forgets to get Cecelia out for 8 hours, and she walks. I guess if it were a dog, Don White would have prosecuted. I mean, wasn't it just a terrible accident that "Bandit" died? Did the cop mean to kill him? Nope. But of course, the Slaby case is different. I wonder if the cop drove a Mercedes or lived in a high rent township? The dog dies, the cop is gonna fry. But, no, just a little baby, so what? Hope those donuts were really tasty. Glad there is justice in Arizona, because there sure as hell isn't justice in Clermont County.

Hat tip to WMD regular reader Marilyn Daley for giving me the scoop on this one.
