Here is an AP News Alert from over the weekend that we talked about a little bit on the radio show on Saturday night...KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) Afghan President Hamid Karzai says he would personally meet with Taliban leader Mullah Omar for peace talks and give the militants a high position in a government ministry.Isn't this a lot like President Bush saying that he would personally meet with Osama bin Laden and make him Secretary of Defense?
I'm hoping that there is some context that is missing from this reportage, but I haven't seen much on the story beyond this...
