Folks, once upon a time, the Nobel Peace prize was important. It was an important award for people who made real contributions to peace and the furtherment of civilization. However, that was about 50 years ago. Today, the prize is nothing more than political theater by a bunch of Norwegian leftist hacks.
Exhibit A--Yassir Arafat, known terrorist, wins the prize. He was responsible for supporting and planning terror attacks in Israel and around the world that killed thousands. Somehow, this means he is a man of peace.
Exhibit B--Jimmah al-Carter, worst US President in history. He allowed the mullahtocracy in Iran to exist, and he allowed the Soviets to destabilize and destroy civilization in Afghanistan, formerly a progressive MidEastern state, which fell to the Taliban when the Soviets left after raping and pillaging. What did al-Carter do about this? He boycotted the Olympics...ooooh, tough man. What did he do about our hostages? Nada. What did he do about terror and Israel? Blamed the Jews. However, this somehow makes him a man of peace? At least he uses a hammer well.
