I couldn't help but notice that the biggest screamers and yellers about the whole sorry Wide Open/Jeff Coryell debacle are the same people who are some of the biggest censorers themselves. One right blogger bans people who say he has gone too far, and the two lefty bloggers ban people left and right for disagreeing with them, but they see no problem engaging in smear tactics of their own, for example, claiming another Wide Open blogger gave to a campaign that he in actuality didn't. The screamers didn't fact check, they just saw a similar name. Guess they are more like the PeeDee than they thought, eh?
Yet here they are now, beating their chests (and inflating traffic numbers) by issuing some free speech altar call to netheads and blog readers about the evil Plain Dealer and its Silencing someone......
And what is funny is that bloggers who turned a blind eye to the censorship of said bloggers Plunderbund and BSB are now railing against the PeeDee for squelching someone's "passion" and "expression."
Pot...meet kettle....Kettle...meet pot.
Oh, and to those who now are screaming who did not say anything about Plunderbund and BSB, I guess the chickens came home to roost.

As usual, Jill thinks the world revolves around her. In the comments section, you will see her go off on what can only be classified as an egomaniacal screed, showing she didn't read the entire post. LET ME SPELL IT OUT FOR YOU JILL. When I was referring to the two lefty bloggers who censored lots of people, I was referring to Plunderbund and BSB. Good lord, you are showing yourself to be more the typical liberal everyday. It is all about Jill, and how she showed such "courage" in leaving the Wide Open thing to support the "victim" Jeff. Yep, that victim is really hurting. He is milking it for all the 15 minutes he can get, from youtube ads and appearances on the Huffington Post. He is showing more and more how wise the PD's decision may be made to look.
Jill, you have a problem you claim the righties have. You think everything is about you. You jump to conclusions beyond the scope of what is written. It is not all about you, honey. Get over yourself.
Now, regarding moderating comments. You are right. But I don't do it. Matt does. And we have only banned five people in 5 years, all of whom engaged in personal attacks and/or hatespeech. Contrast that with the exhaustive lists of banned at plunderbund and bsb simply for disagreeing.
