Muskingum County GOP Endorses Moll

Zanesville, OH 12/5/07 - Jeanette Moll, conservative Republican candidate for Congress in Ohio's 18th congressional district, earned the endorsement of the Muskingum County Republican Party.

The Muskingum County GOP's Policy Committee voted overwhelmingly to endorse Moll's candidacy on the first ballot, a decision validated and made final by the county's Central and Executive Committees.

Moll said that the home-county endorsement was very important to her as she takes her message of fiscal responsibility, family values, and strong national defense to the voters throughout the district.

"My family has its roots in Muskingum County, that's why I began my campaign here," Moll said. "I'm proud of this endorsement and believe it's an important step as I work to expand my network of support throughout the 18th district."

Muskingum County is the second largest whole county in the district making the endorsement highly sought after and valuable.

Muskingum County GOP Chairman Pat Hennessey said that Jeanette Moll earned this endorsement with hard work.

"Jeanette has been campaigning for months and I believe the results are clear," Hennessey said. "Her organization is strong, she continues to raise money, and her conservative message is resonating with voters."

Moll has a district-wide grassroots organization. She has raised money in 14 of the 16 counties; has volunteer support and endorsements in every county, including many elected Republican leaders; and has traveled over 15,000 miles around the district meeting voters and attending over 20 Lincoln and Reagan Day dinners and every county fair.

Jeanette Moll is a practicing attorney and former Magistrate in Guernsey County. She helped open the Washington, D.C. office of Ducks Unlimited before moving back to Ohio to attend law school and raise her family. Wife and mother of two daughters and adoptive mother of three children adopted through Muskingum County Children's Services, Moll has focused much of her life on family, faith, and community.
