One of our own State of Ohio Alliance bloggers, Ralph King, of King's Right Site, has decided to enter the political arena of ideas by running for State Central Committee in the 25th Ohio Senate District. An email (hat tip to One Oar in the Water) had this to say:“The current environment and past practices of our party are stifling our party’s growth. Our party sits at a very dangerous crossroad. Our old leadership did produce some meaningful victories but its’ failure to practice what it preached washed our party’s majorities away in a sea of scandal, tax increases, and fiscal irresponsibility. I am running to bring new leadership to our party – leadership that will create a new Ohio GOP that truly represents our Republican principles.”
King will be running against ORP State Central Committee Vice chair Dave Bailey, who is practically permanently attached to the left buttock of State Chair Bob "Can't Retire Soon Enough" Bennett, so he faces an uphill battle. But, this is what it takes to affect real change....and God bless him.
