Fox News Sabotaging McCain with Conservatives?

Sunday, Chris Matthews and Fox News Sunday surprised Hillary Clinton and John McCain, who were to appear separately, but having them both on at the same time. According to Ed Morrisey at Captain's Quarters, the McCain camp is a little ticked:
"Part of the conservative complaint against McCain is his deference to Democrats while treating conservatives much more harshly. That got put on full display yesterday, as the two exchanged not just pleasantries but assurances that a general-election contest between the two would be 'respectful.' Republicans may want someone less inclined to put the gloves on against Hillary than taking them off against fellow Republicans."

I missed this spectacle, but I hear their conversation was very civil, downright friendly. Kind of makes you want to puke, eh?

Morrisey goes on:
"Hillary hasn't got Democrats wondering if the Clintons can fight hard enough against Republicans."

But John McCain makes us wonder if this will be a "kinder, gentler" campaign against the Dems.

Did Fox News sabotage McCain for Romney? Some of you who follow Huckabee's logic about Hannity and such might think so.....
