Ok, so it looks like we are having a Big Mac
attack. John McCain won big in the primaries, and some very obstinate and ignorant folks in the South kept he who pimps his faith like a five dollar whore Mike "Populist Preacher" Huckabee around. Meanwhile, anyone else afraid Mitt was going to have a Howard Dean moment during his speech last night? When he was talking, and everyone was chanting, and then he in a more impassioned tone (at least as far as he can be impassioned)talked about going all the way to the White House, I was waiting for the YEEEARGH! screech to come in.
Meanwhile, people in
WV and the other states that went for Huckabee fell right into John McCain's plans. It is looking more and more that Huck and Mike have a deal, that Huck is going to stay in the race to draw conservative and evangelicals away from Romney, so McCain can win. This tells me that Huckabee is going to be the VP candidate and truthfully calls into question my ability to vote for McCain in the general election. I might have to write in someone or vote third party, because Mike Huckabee should not be janitor in the White House, much less VP.
You people needed to see Huck's interview with Chris Wallace. He refused to discuss what the differences between he and McCain are and just said people have a choice. He refused to clarify their differing positions, and did everything he could not to say anything about McCain that could be perceived as negative. He even said he and McCain would be civil and nice. I sense chicanery...and you idiots down South fell for it, hook, line, and sinker. Congrats! You may have handed the government to the Libs. Way to see past personal prejudices, people....
10:3Oish update
One alliance blogger is ticked about me (not Matt, by the way) saying people who voted for Huckabee are stupid. Well, they are giving the election to McCain. And then, the Huckabean goes off talking about how supposedly I am in the tank for Romney (let's see, I said he was an empty suit, I said that he can't be too impassioned, that he reminded me of Howard Dean last night, Yeah, I must be in the tank for him)and Huckabee is SO conservative....despite his tax raising, health nazi record...despite his talk of our foreign policy being arrogant, despite his assailment of personal liberty...despite all of this and more, Huckabee is supposedly a super conservative....Sorry if I offended your sensibilities, but calling Huckabee a conservative is like calling Barry Obama a a Buchananite....
