Rule by "Hypocrats?"

Over on NRO's The Corner, there is a post by David Freddoso in which he chastises a reader who emailed in a snarky bit about Republican Leader, my Congressman and a Great American - -John Boehner -- and the hypocrisy of taking a stand on earmarks while not appointing Jeff Flake to the Appropriations committee. Well, Corner Reader, let me field that one for The Man, if I may...and I do so because John Boehner is all class and wouldn't bother to say some of what I am about to unload.

John Boehner has NEVER requested an earmark in all his years of service in the United States House of Representatives. That is behavior that ought to encouraged by NRO readers, not ridiculed. We need to support Republicans who understand that fiscal responsibility means lower taxes AND lower spending.

Having said that, John Boehner is a Leader...if he were to make appointments based on the whims of some NRO Corner Reader, he would be castigated for something else. Some of you people are just never satisfied. Being in a position of leadership is not all about making people do things your way; sometimes, you have to work the process and bring people around to your way of thinking. THAT is how John Boehner works and thinks; and that is why he is a class act and a world class leader.
