POTUS: Well, Fred Dalton Thompson got his clock cleaned last night, but that was expected. WMD: 0-1OH-02: Right on target. Jean Schmidt is well on her way to taking away another favorite talking point of liberal bloggers and 527 media types: that schmidt puts this seat in play. She worked hard to reconnect with the voters of this district and those efforts paid off in the primary. Let's see what she does in the general, but I am predicting a 60-40 win for Schmidt over Vic Whatever-Wulsin (D-Millionaire Dr.). WMD: 1-1
OH-07: We picked Steve Austria and he pulled 55% of the vote. Ron Hood turned in a better-than-expected finish, but was unable to get the nod. WMD: 2-1
OH-16: This one was MUCH closer than I ever expected, but our pick -- Kirk Schuring -- has pulled off the win. Matt Miller proved that he has a future and ought to be a rising star despite having come up short this time. WMD: 3-1
OH-18: What can I say? I expected this contest to be between Jeanette Moll and Paul Phillips, but Fred Dailey came out of NOWHERE and surprised me entirely. He was so not on my radar, it has me questioning my sources in that district. WMD: 3-2
12th District Court of Appeals: We endorsed Ringland (unopposed) and Hendrickson. We'll take the point for Hendrickson and give a shout out Judge Ringland! WMD: 4-2
10th Ohio Senate: Chris Widener wins BIG and so do we. WMD: 5-2
35th Ohio House: Well, there is a winner in this race. The good news is that it isn't the guy from Check-n-Go. While I'm not a fan of Lori Viars-backed candidates, I'm somewhat relieved that this one got the victory. We'd have prefered None of the above in this race, but we'll take this result. WMD: 5-3
53rd Ohio House: We chose Paul Nenni, who appears to have about a 30-vote shortage against Tim Derickson. WMD: 5-4
Butler County Commission: Chuck Furmon trounces Rawnica Dillingham-Wilson-Dillingham-Ruscigno-Dillingham 60-40 and WMD goes to 6-4.
Brown County Commission: Rick Eagan wins (WMD: 7-4)
Not a bad performance...but it could have been better! At least we didn't pick Tom Brinkman by 9 points...
