LOS ANGELES (AP) Family members say actor Charlton Heston has died.Heston was a GIANT on the screen. Probably best known for Ben Hur or Planet of the Apes, I will always remember him for Soylent Green. Of course, he also did an episode of seaQuest DSV as well. He's had a full career...but that was not enough for Heston. Heston's advocacy on part of gun owners as president of the National Rifle Association made his conversion to Republicanism complete but he was originally a Democrat who campaigned for Adlai Stevenson and John F. Kennedy.
