Save the Earth, but Go Hungry

Another unforeseen aspect of the idiotic environmental movement. Corn, which is the staple of many populations' diets, is skyrocketing in price. This causes prices of meat and other foods to go up as well, as more corn in America and elsewhere is used for making ethanol, which itself is not very efficient and is a drag on the environment as well.
Corn prices jumped to a record $6 a bushel Thursday, driven up by an expected supply shortfall that will only add to Americans' growing grocery bill and further squeeze struggling ethanol producers.

Oh well, at least we can feel better by using ethanol, even as more people starve because corn is so high.....That's ok...humans are a virus anyway, right enviro-weenies? Oh, and as corn growers are osreaping record profits, where is the outcry to investigate these profits as well as the cry to end farm subsidies????

Seems to me, if farmers want to make money, plant corn. Of course, if they do that, then the price goes down....but they still get paid by Uncle Sam...hmmm....anyone want to tell me why this is not a bigger problem than Exxon or "Big Oil"? What about Big Corn? Just asking.....
