Self-proclaimed "deficit hawk" George Voinovich is touting yet another million-plus dollar grant. George Voinovich is campaigning for Obama during hearings now... Via The Caucus at NYTimes:Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr. tried to head applause for the presidential candidate off at the pass when Senator George Voinovich, an Ohio Republican, finished speaking.
“I thank the senator from Ohio,” said Mr. Biden, the committee chairman. “And I wish he would not reference the senator from Illinois and cause anyone to cheer. I can only imagine the headline in The Washington Post: Biden throws out people for cheering for Democratic candidate.”
Smooth move, Senator...are you switching your party affiliation anytime soon? That would be the more honest move for you, sir... Liberal Matt Yglesias endorses The Crying Man in this piece... Basically, our Senator RINOvich forgot that we were supposed to win the war. Somebody on his staff forgot to medicate him again... Senator General Voinovich wants a timetable for surrender. The senator gets one right...for a change. He may be a nutjob on every other issue, but he has been fairly consistently pro-life. Need a reason to not pull for a McCain victory? How about Voinovich being the top GOP guy on the committee that debates global warming? It could happen.Other Stuff:
