McCain on Guns

I hear a lot of folks complaining about John Sidney McCain on the issue of guns and I think it is important to actually pay attention to what he is saying -- and even more importantly, what he is NOT saying -- on the issue.

Over at The Gun Shots, a blog by Outdoor Life, there is a video of McCain's comments on the issue followed by this commentary from the blogger:
Based on his comments here, at the NRA show and on his voting record it looks like not only is he the most pro-gun candidate in the running for the White House but that he is solidly pro-gun by any yardstick you care to use.
I will say that one of the commenters over there does have a legitimate concern about private transfers of guns (McCain is open to regulation), but he appears to be educated on the issue. Can you say the same about Barack Hussein Obama or Commodore Decker's Planet Killer? I didn't think so...

By the way, I'm no expert on this issue...the folks at Buckeye Firearms Association are... I'd be curious what their opinion is...particularly if they set aside their bias against the man and actually pay attention to what he's saying.

UPDATE: Obama on Guns...

Some people, apparently, think Obama would be better than McCain on this issue...
