Tuesday night, Butler County Republican Party Political Director Scott Owens resigned his position. In a speech to a combined meeting of the Central and Executive Committees, Owens said his resignation was due to a "promotion" at LNE Group, a lobbyist firm. But committee members all believe that the former window peeper is soon going to be indicted as the man who wrote the check from Dynus Corporation that caused former County Auditor Kay Rogers to plead guilty on federal charges.Unlike the "Whistleblower" also known as "Charles Foster Kane" also known as "Jim Schifrin", I went to the source: outgoing Executive Director of the Butler County Republican Party and a Great American -- Scott Owens -- and asked him if he had ever worked for the Dynus Corporation. Here is his response:
I worked as a government relations consultant for them maybe 6 months, but never had any checking writing capability or anything! I would guess like any organization the Controller or CFO would only have that ability.so in the "Whistleblower" also known as "Charles Foster Kane" also known as "Jim Schifrin"'s World, the guy who does government relations work for six months gets to write checks. In the real world, that doesn't happen.
Therefore, I call BULL$#|+.
It is getting to the point where a Butler County Republican can't pass gas without some idiot claiming that it is EVIDENCE that the offense is indicative of involvement in the Dynus investigation and is about to be indicted. Liberals (and I include the liberal loving "Whistleblower" also known as "Charles Foster Kane" also known as "Jim Schifrin" in the category because he's so far right you now find him over on the left) always talk about McCarthyism, but the witch hunt going on in Butler County is out of control.
Lastly, whomever FED (see what I did there?) this ridiculous charge to the "Whistleblower" also known as "Charles Foster Kane" also known as "Jim Schifrin" ought to be ashamed of themselves.
UPDATE: I wanted to specifically address the part where
No, I'm not holding my breath either...
UPDATE 2: Just to clarify something from the comments... Scott and I have had a few conversations in the time that we've known each other about blogging and I'm sure he'd be the first to tell you that he would fully expect me to "burn" somebody if I discovered that they had lied to me. I have a reputation to uphold, after all, of telling the truth and making the call as I see it.
