Obama's Blind, Arrogant Ambition.....

Some people have focused on the legal issues involving Barack Obama and his campaign's creation of his own "great seal." I am not going to go there, because firstly, no one is going to charge him, and secondly, it is questionable anyway. However, it does show a few things about this candidate. It shows a lack of taste. It shows a height of arrogance and disrespect for the office and the process. And, it shows a little bit about a man who claims to be against an imperial presidency but yet has to have his own seal before he even gets the job. As the LA Times blogs noted:
Obama's new seal looks really presidential, which is probably a coincidence, don't you think? Obama's seal has an eagle just like the president's seal and he or she is holding arrows to signify war, which Obama was against before it even started.

And it's got olive branches, which stand for peace, which we haven't really had since 9/11 but DailyKos promises will come as soon as we shoo out Bush and Cheney.

The seal's also got a terrifically impressive motto in Latin -- "Vero Possumus" -- which means "The possum speaks truthily."

No, just kidding. It actually means "Truly we're able," which translates as "Si se puede," which translates as "Yes, we can." Obama is clearly copying George W. Bush's Texas gubernatorial reelection motto from 1998.

Plus it's got Obama's website right up there too. Lord knows, he needs more donations because the poor White Sox fan from Chicago's impoverished South Side has only raised a little under $290 million so far.

Some people might be inclined to make fun of a grown candidate who's against an imperial presidency but needs a really Great Seal before he even gets the official nomination. Maybe they'd suggest that as good as things look now from the city of big winds, maybe he's counting his eagles before they hatch.

You know, I thought Barry was supposed to be different...after all, weren't you moonbat leftys out there ticked because Hillary thought she was the "inevitable candidate?" Shouldn't we as Americans be ticked because Barry thinks he is the "inevitable President"?

But like Bubba and Hillary, Barry has always thought he should be President, and has always had that sense of arrogance and entitlement...note circa 2007:
On the 1st of December, Obama said, “I’m not running because I’m trying to fulfill some long-held plan.”Oh, really?Iis Darmawan, 63, Obama’s teacher in 1970, remembers him as an exceptionally tall and curly haired child who quickly picked up the local language and had sharp math skills. “He wrote an essay titled, ‘I Want To Become President,’” the teacher said.In 1971, Obama’s sister Maya, has also said, “There was always a joke between my mom and Barack that he would be the first black president.”In 1991, David B. Wilkins , the Kirkland and Ellis professor of law, said he advised Obama to become a Supreme Court Clerk. “Obama recognized the honor in pursuing that post,” Wilkins said, but quickly added that he wasn’t interested.

“He said that he wanted to write a book about his life and his father, go back to Chicago, get back into the community, and run for office there. He knew exactly what he wanted and went about getting it done,” Wilkins said.

In 1992, Obama’s brother-in-law, Craig Robinson pulled him aside and asked about his plans. “He said, ‘I think I’d like to teach at some point in time, and maybe run for public office,’” recalls Robinson, who assumed Senator Obama meant he’d like to run for city alderman. “He said no — at some point he’d like to run for the U.S. Senate. And then he said, ‘Possibly even run for President at some point.’ And I was like, ‘Okay, but don’t say that to my Aunt Gracie.’ I was protecting him from saying something that might embarrass him.”

In 1993, Obama began teaching at the University of Chicago Law School, where he declined to pursue a tenure-track post, hoping to save time for politics.

The one thread, that remains consistent, throughout Obama’s life, is his teacher’s, mentor’s and friend’s recollection of Obama’s single-minded pursuit of high political office.
